I say it should be blonde hair/green eyes/light skin

Which of these hair/eye/skin combinations do u like better?

...Where's brown hair/brown eyes?

I prefer that on guys, but dark hair/light eyes on girls (which is what I wish I had).

And I prefer pale skin over medium skin.

Which of these hair/eye/skin combinations do u like better?

I like brown or black hair/brown eyes/medium skin best (preference developed from growing up in SE Asia), but if I had to choose out of those it would be either the 1st one b/c it's fairly unusual or the red-haired one b/c the features "blend" the best to me.

but me personally i'm going for black hair/green eyes/dark skin myself.

Hair dye question??

Okay, my sister and I are thinking about gettin our hair dyed. We both have dark brown hair..n i saw this ad on glamour magazine, theres girl withbeautiful auburn red hair, i want my hair to be just like hers so i was wondering if I take the magazine photo with me to a salon, would they have the exact color or not? And the color my sister is wanting to dye is this black..very very black with blue tone to it? can't seem to find the shade anywhere. do salons carry it? thanks..

Hair dye question??

For your sisters hair color, I think you're talking about black blue. It's a common color you can get in simple places like grocery stores. I would say don't waste the money going to a salon and buy box die and do it at home, unless you do have the money to spend.

For your hair, if you go to a good salon, they'll usually have a big book kind of thing with all different samples of hair colors with codes for them to mix. If you bring in the picture, it would be close, but you may not get the exact color. Also, if the color you want is lighter than your natural color, they may have to bleach your hair slightly before coloring which would be pricey.

to correct Jill R below me, blue is actually the hardest color to keep IN your hair because it only comes in unnatural circumstances. I was told this when i wanted to dye my hair blue, but for it to stay in well, your hair should be completely white. Black blue eventually fades into just black- this from personal experience and just common sense.

Hair dye question??

If you take the picture and are nice about it

then you could ask them to try to make a color

to match that but more to fit you.

%26amp;For your sister clairol color silk burgundy is a good way to go:]

Good luck

Hair dye question??

yes, just make sure you bring in the pic and they should be able to get it right on. Both of them. . good luck :)

Hair dye question??

let me suggest that you try to get in a salon to get a consultation. auburn/red hair is a difficult one to match to a picture, and the color will fade if not done properly. now your sister, black, with blue tones. yeah she should go too. sounds like it might be a cellophane over the black. but don't try it yourself. you need a professional to do it.

Hair dye question??

They will probably have the color or can mix two colors to get very close. Also, for your sister, yes they will have the color. However, black and red are the hardest colors to get out of your hair, black especially b/c you can't really lighten it up with out damaging your hair and red you can really only go darker on it.

Hair dye pictures? Need a picture to show my stylist!?

Ok, so I have red hair right now. I want to add black and (some) blonde to it but I can't figure out how I want it to be done. I'm debating between highlighting or minking it to perfection, or doing the red on top black on bottom route. If anyone has pictures of either dramatic highlihgting or top-bottom dye jobs I'd appreciate it.

Also, it doesn't have to be in red. Any color works, I just need a guide!

Hair dye pictures? Need a picture to show my stylist!?

Black on the bottom, Red on top, and some chunky blonde just through the top layer. The blonde would need to bo platinum - red and platinum is FABULOUS, it'll most likely take a couple times but it's so worth it.

OR

Bottom black, Red top, chunk of blonde over the bangs (hopefully you have side swept bangs haha), and another chunk of blonde on the back of the head. Now to explain....if you're looking at the top of your head the blonde on the bangs would form a triangle the point being the middle of your head. Another triangle of blonde is formed by the blonde in the back of your head, the poing of which being in the middle of your head meeting up with the point of the front triangle.

Sorry if my digi worked I would send you a pic, It's hard to expain, I've done it before and it's really funky.

Black hair dye is a NIGHTMARE !!!?

i have naturally black hair that i`ve dyed light brown. the last time i dyed my hair .. i had it dyed black once .. then a few months later .. dyed it black again .. (big mistake) anyways, i know black hair dye is a nightmare to get out, but it`s starting to fade. i`m wondering if i use red hair dye, will it work ? (even a little bit would make me happy) or would it just stay black ? .. i really don`t have the time to go to a salon %26amp; i look evil with black hair !!

Black hair dye is a NIGHTMARE !!!?

black hair color is the hardest to get rid of.

if you really want to change your color you NEED to go to a salon and have ALL color completely stripped from your hair, meaning your hair wont have any pigment left in it. after you do that you are free to color it any color you want and shouldnt have too many problems. i wopuldnt suggest a red though because it is the second hardest color to get out :)

having your hair color stripped is hard on your hair so if you do it be sure to keep your hair really hydrated afterward.

Black hair dye is a NIGHTMARE !!!?

It probably won't...black hair dye is pretty strong, and once you dye it black, there's really no turning back. You have to bo 100% positive that you want it like that. I would suggest making time to go to the salon, or if you wanted to use the red dye, bleach your hair first and then dye it, but that takes a lot of time and can really damage your hair.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Black hair dye is a NIGHTMARE !!!?

I have had this problem before. Don't use red because the black wont take the dye and your roots will, thus causing you to have a red "crown." It would look silly.

Loreal has this stuff called preference (I think it is this brand) Anyways, they have hair dye made for people who already dye their hair and wish to go lighter. Look on the box. Get the stuff that is specifically for people with dark hair.

Black hair dye is a NIGHTMARE !!!?

the only way to really get rid of black hair color is to "bleach it out." this really should be done at a salon.

The red may just give you a severely red tint of black hair. It may also end up worse then the black it self.

sorry I can't be of more help.

Dying my hair at home?

Once more, since I don't think I've gotten the answers I wanted -

I'm naturally a reddish/golden light brunette, a level 6/7. I want to be either about a level 8 blonde, or completely different - red - not ginger, more cherry, like one of Feria's power reds.

I have blue eyes, fair skin. I don't know if I'm a 'warm' or a 'cool,' though photoshopping bright red hair onto myself looks good. I was blonde as a child, and thanks to my heritage I think I'd make a good blonde.

Anyways. If I go blonde at home, since I do want to change my colour and can't afford a salon, how would I go about doing this? To get a level 8 blonde, do I use a level 10 dye, since I'm about a level 6/7 anyways? I'm hesitant to bleach beforehand because not only am I afraid of damage, I'm afraid of bleaching my roots as well to get the desired colour every few weeks, the colour overlapping and damaging/looking bad.

So can I go blonde in one step, and with what?

Should I just go red instead?

Thanks!

Dying my hair at home?

Home kits for Blonde coloring is hard- orange is a usual result and never looks good :[

But as a girl who dyes her hair alot, I would advise buying, either, two level 8s, one for re-touching, or one level ten, and maybe a blonde highlighting kit?

And roots, well, thats just something you'll have to deal with as it comes. Theres no way to prevent it :/

Oh, ditto with damaging. It sucks. And without a salon coloring, its hard to prevent.

You might wanna try stripping your hair first, and then taking the blonde plunge.

:]]

Dying my hair at home?

I would go red until you can afford to go blonde at salon blonde bleach can kill your hair... you dont want to look like a troll

Dying my hair at home?

i think you should go a deep, deep red. that'll look awesome with your skin and eyes.

the reason i didn't recommend blonde is because red pigments are incredibly hard to get rid of.. even if you dye it blonde now, the red will show up eventually.

Dying my hair at home?

I would honestly wait until you have the funds and allow a professional to do the job. Or at least before you do it could at least consult a salon for the tips.

Sorry I was not all that helpful, just going from your color to a blonde you might end up green or a lot of damage and paying a salon the money for the corrective coloring.

Dying my hair at home?

No matter what product you use, going lighter is bleaching ( taking out the color). When you go lighter with the hair you are taking out the color so it is hard on your hair no matter what. You need to prep your hair for it and be able to afford to use good products to take care of it after. I really can't tell you what level to use because all products work so differently on the hair. If you want to go 2 shades lighter make sure the color you choose has a 20 volume developer which will allow you to lift the hair 2-3 levels of lift. If you want no damage to the hair the best thing is to stay on your same level and just change the tone like to cherry red as you stated. When you change only the tone of the color or go darker you are actually adding pigment instead of pulling it out so it is not hard on the hair.

Dying my hair at home?

I went to Walmart and bought a hair color called "born to be blonde", I think. Anyway, it worked great! I had to leave it on for 45 minutes, which was the maximum time. I'll probably get another box to make even blonder. It's for brunette's who want to go blonde. It says it on the box that it's safe for brown hair.

I also love Feria's dark auburn!

How would the color turn out? How badly would my hair be damaged?

I really don't want to bleach my hair.

I also don't want bright red. Having a 'hint' of red in my black hair would be fine.

I am probably going to dye my hair red with red hair dye, and see how it turns out.

I would like to know some other opinions on this.

The only other dyeing I have ever done, was to the ends of my hair. I had to bleach it. It completely ruined it. Great color though.

How would the color turn out? How badly would my hair be damaged?

For you I think the color that would me most suitable is Egyptian Plum by Clairol Natural Instincts. It'll give you a nice darkish reddish..and a little purplish look. If you want you can google it and see how the color will look.

How would the color turn out? How badly would my hair be damaged?

Bleach is your hair's worst enemy. Avoid it at all costs. Just get some red hair dye and put it over your natural black. You will definitely get at least a hint.

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

she has very fair skin, green eyes and naturally light brown hair.

she dyed her hair red. DO YOU guys think darker hair looks better with her features or red hair?

she looks like this girl just with green eyes

http://www.flickr.com/photos/idealterna/...

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

i guess darker her brings out green eyes but red hair works too, her eyes will still pop, she is able to pull it off

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

Red hair sounds like it would be very striking and pretty on her. It might take you both some time to adjust to it but it sounds pretty.

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

I have fair skin, green eyes, and natually light ash brown hair. I color it red and get complements on it all the time. I think the red brings out our features a lot more than dark hair does.

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

Yuck, I always think red hair only looks good if it is natural, or if you died your hair red but you were once a natural red head. She would look way better with light brown hair, it will bring out her green eyes. If you don't like her new hair color, tell her the truth, and be sure to explain how pretty you thought she looked with her natural color.

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

I think that people with fair skin should have dark brown hair to really give contrast to them and bring out her natural green eyes... You can never go wrong with the combo of dark brown hair, green eyes and fair skin

My friend amber has that combination and she is goregeous!

My girlfriend dyed her hair....?

not a fan of red hair sorry
