I coored my hair and it is too red looking..how can I remove some color at home?

When I got my hair colored red it was way too much at first. Within a few days it was the color that I wanted. Maybe it will be better after a few washes.

Red is delicate %26amp; fades fast. Maybe try washing it several times first? Especially if it is too red %26amp; not too dark.

go and buy a brown shade and dye it again. that will tone it down , or buy a light blonde if you want to go that direction

usually a reddish color fades out quickly into a bit of a rusty, brown color anyway. just give it a little time and it will tone down. maybe try washing it with shampoo a couple times. =)

Use a hair product with ash tones in it and it will reduce the reddish tone...good luck

If you colored it to red and i suggest that you wait the proper amount of time ..i believe that would be 2 Weeks before re dying your hair to a lighter shade. Be careful that you choose your shade right this time cause the more you dye your hair you damage it, you should consult a professional hair stylist next time, and pay to look brand new.

you have one of 2 choices- when you color ur hair with a dark color you can not just put another color over it unless maybe very lt. blonde and want to go darker in ur case you need to remove all if not most of the color and replace it with another color not as red you will want a color that has a base to counter act the red. Your base color of the color u use should b [green, blue,or an ash. What u will b doing is called corrective color and I would really reccomend that u go to a good stylist with color and have your hair done . That would be ur best bet for getting the right color and also saving your hair!

Good Luck, Stormy
