i don't necessarily think you're too old for that, but it really depends on what you're doing now, like if you have a serious office job or are in a professional setting, people may get the wrong impression, you may not come off as professional, but if you aren't in that type of setting and its just for fun, then go for it.

I still find myself dragging out my old punk skater tee shirts and donning them. Once and a while somebody my age, 42, asks me when I閳ユ獡 going to grow out of that 閳ユ笩tate閳?and wear more appropriate clothing閳?I don閳ユ獩 do it for attention, I don閳ユ獩 do it to look young, I do it because I like the shirt! I have never cared to wear what 閳ユ笜ormal閳?American society wears. I frequently purchase 閳ユ笜ormal閳?shirts approved by our society, stash then in a bag in the basement, and break them out in ten or more years when they閳ユ獧e retro.

I閳ユ獡 sure that there are people out there that do dress provocatively and or do some strange things to their bodies, ie pink hair, tattoos, studs, and the like, but don閳ユ獩 be so myopic as to think that everybody is doing it just to garner some attention and boost their low self esteem because it閳ユ獨 not always the case.
