First thing you want to do is figure out what color you want. Remember that light will not cover dark! Go a shade darker then your natural color if your wanting your natural color and if you have to cover a dark color. You can go to any store and get coloring less then $10 and make sure that it is permanent and you should be okay.

You have to bleach all the colour out first (there are home bleaching kits at the drug store) and then add in the colour you want. If you keep dying over hair that is already more than one colour, you won't have even tonage until all the dyed hair grows out.

find a dye as close to your normal color as you can. check at wal mart if you need to save some cash. also you could cut it short %26amp; let it start growing out healthy since all the dye has probably fried it
