if the Father has a family hist on both sides of dark brown hair and I have a fathers side hist of dark brown hair, i have dark brown hair but my great grandma (only child) had red hair my aunt (third child) had red hair and my sister (third child) had red hair and i have brown hair what color will the babies hair be?

no way of telling just have to wait and see. my daughter is very dark being half arabic and her partner is fair. we assumed that her baby would be dark too however her firstborn has blond hair and blue eyes and pale skin and her 2nd is dark like her, shes now expecting her 3rd so w e wait to see. my other daughter is the same dark and her husband has light brown hair and blue eyes, her baby is a blond blue eyed version of her as a baby so it doesnt make any difference what the parents are or what u expect only nature can decide. also hair and eye colour can change from what it is at birth. good luck

when the baby is first born, the hair will be brown, but will get red as it gets older until its about 4. then the hair will go back to dark brown

Most hair colors, the gene sits there and that's that. Dominant i s (usually) on top so the hair color is darker. But the thing w/ red hair is it's like a transparency you lay on top of regular color. So your baby has mabye a 0.25 out of 1 possiblity of red hair on top of dark brown. The classic "red" you're thinking of is actually red/blonde because the blonde is a light color, so the red really shines through. I ave red/deep brown and when it hits the sun you can see gold and red and brown and it's really fun, so best of luck to your baby!

You never know. I had very light brown hair as a child and as I got older it changed to dark brown. My husband has black hair, but he has a couple of redheads in his family. When his face stubble comes in, it's reddish! It's really weird. So far, my daughter has very light brown hair.
