I have dark brown hair&I'd like it to be red like Lohan's was. How do I get it to that

I was thinking about bleaching it, then dying it red, then adding blondish highlights. Would it work? Would it be hard to touch up roots? Will I someday regret this?

Go to or call your Salon and ask them what to do, they can help you for sure, You might want professional help/advice on this one. I personally don't think you should bleach your hair first or at all... You could do all that but it will damage your hair very much.

use one of the Feria's red and after that the highlights but avoid bleaching. and if you want the red to stay longer put some drops of black color in the dying product. it works.

Go to a professional! Dying your hair yourself can lead to lots and lots of tears mainly yours and everyone who has to look at you for about 4 weeks before you can get it repaired!

If you want to do it yourself, I would buy a hair dye that would lighten your hair because it will give you a better result than if you tried to do it red from brown. Wait a day or two, go buy the red hair dye and then dye your hair red. About the highlights, to avoid getting roots, I take a small section of hair from the top of my head and put it aside so I dont highlight it. The thing about going red is that the upkeep is insane. My natural hair colour is medium brown and I went red and I had to use this red shampoo in order to maintain the colour. It went orange in about a month or less and it was professionally done. Remember, if you dont like it, you can always change it! Hope this helps and good luck!

Go to a salon and get the dark red since you have brown hair if that's not enough they can put a toner on and it can lighten or darken the color, if you don't try a really deep rich red dint bleach your hair b/c it will be fried to much for one visit bleaching is going to strip your color just dye your hair the red and if its not the right color you only have to wait 2 weeks and if you bleach it then dye it and its not right you might need to wait longer and it will do some much damage. your roots may not be as bad as you think its only ever 6 weeks and if you do go to the salon then it would be a lot easier.
