I am kind of dark skinned and I colored my hair dark auburn red about a month ago and now i want to get highlights. What color highlights will look good with dark auburn red hair and my skin color?

Light auburn or light brown. You could always do a dark golden if you wanted them to stand out more.

Any colour that is 2-4 shades lighter, or any shade 2-4 shades darker is ideal for highlights or lowlights!

Since you are dark skinned with red hair I would recommend putting many red highlights. Try different shades of red like a wine, or burgundy color, and try some lighter golden red highlights as well. So you would have a highlighted effect red which is similar to debra messing's or marcia cross' color. But if you can't make to a beauty salon and do not have time for foiling.
